Bluebell Railway (Sussex)

72_bbells_derekh_1may07sSteam through the heart of the Sussex Weald.Β  The Bluebell Railway was the UK’s first preserved standard gauge passenger railway, re-opening part of the Lewes to East Grinstead line of the old London Brighton & South Coast Railway in 1960.

By train:
East Grinstead (Southern Trains). From near East Grinstead station, a bus service runs to the Bluebell Railway

By car:
Car parking at Sheffield Park station.Β  This is situated on the A275 East Grinstead – Lewes main road, about two miles north of its junction with the A272. The Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park is well signposted with brown tourist direction signs from the A22 and A23 trunk roads.
