Tate Britain

tateTate Britain is the national gallery of British art. The Collection comprises the national collection of British art from the year 1500 to the present day, and international modern art. Highlights include portraits of Queen Elizabeth I, the works of William Hogarth, eighteenth-century portraitists Gainsborough and Reynolds, the animal painter George Stubbs, and the twentieth century work of Stanley Spencer, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Francis Bacon, amongst many others.

Tate Britain is located on the north bank of the River Thames at Millbank, south west of the city centre and not far from the Houses of Parliament.
