Believe it or not, this weird looking ball is actually a water bottle!
It’s called “Ooho!” and the people who make it think it could replace normal plastic bottles.
The ball contains a load of water that’s wrapped in a membrane. The membrane holds the water and can be broken by just putting it in your mouth!
It’s made from seaweed extract and is tasteless although the designers say flavours can be added to it.
Over 60 million plastic bottles get chucked away every day meaning these new water balls could help save the planet – and money! Making the material is cheaper than making a plastic water bottle.
To create the balls, a block of ice is dipped in a special solution and the membrane forms around it. The ice then melts, leaving water inside.
