Listen to The Week Junior Show

First up, we want you to listen to the new Week Junior Show podcast.

In the show Bex gives friends at the Week Junior a visit and talk to them about all the things that are happening in the world right now! 

We want you to give it a listen and let me know which news story you found the most interesting. Why not have a go at trying to find out even more about it as well by doing your own research!

Find out how batteries are made

Next up, have you ever wondered how those magical little tubes that somehow make the TV remote work are made?

We’re talking about batteries by the way.

We want you to watch Sir Sydney McSprocket’s video all about them to find out how they’re made and tell us one of the chemicals you might find in a battery…

The third thing we want you to do is listen to Fun Kids Silly!

It’s one of our brand new radio stations, this one is dedicated to nothing but silly songs to make you laugh!

Give it a listen – you can find it in the free Fun Kids mobile app.

Once you have, tell us the silliest lyric or song title you heard.

Make layered jelly

Now it’s time for the final activity of the week!

You’ve worked really hard to do all these activities so it’s time for a tasty treat.

Grab a parent and ask them if you can make some layered jelly!

It’s super delicious and super fun to make.

All you need to do is get some different coloured jelly next time your parents go to the shop. You make one colour of jelly and then wait for it to set, then you make the next colour, pour it on top of the first layer and wait for that to set.

You keep doing that until you have a multicoloured tower of jelly ready to eat over the weekend!
