This month’s Fun Kids Book Club is the perfect companion for the summer hols!
First up, David Solomons joins Bex to chat about his new book, My Arch Enemy is a Brain in a Jar…
In the story, 11-year-old Luke Parker can’t believe it when his older brother, Zack, is given superpowers and told to save the universe.
Luke is outraged! Zack doesn’t even like comics! But there are people to save and SOMEONE has to make sure Zack does it properly.
In their fourth adventure, My Arch-Enemy is a Brain in a Jar, Luke might finally have the chance to be a SUPERHERO!
Then it’s on to Adrian Edmondson talking about his book, Junkyard Jack and the Horse that Talked!
In the story, Jack finds himself on an adventure to free his mum from prison with the help of talking animals.
Whatever the adventure, it’s definitely better than going home to his drippy Aunt Violet, smelly Uncle Ted and evil cousin Kelly…
The book is full of funny jokes and loads and loads of horse poo!
Last but not least, Matt Brown stops by Fun Kids to shout about his book, Aliens invaded my Talent Show, and to read us a bit from it.
It’s all about a boy called Eric Doomsday who love doing magic tricks, but they keep going really wrong. When his school talent show asks him to perform, Eric knows he needs to get this right.
Then the talent show judges reveal themselves to be scary aliens who want to destroy the world!
As if all of that wasn’t enough, we have five new books to read during your summer hols…
Every fortnight Bex is here for the Fun Kids Book Club where she meets your favourite authors and finds out what makes them tick.
They also stick around and read parts of their books for us! PLUS Bex and friends recommend their favourite kids books of the month!
