Now, nearly 250 years later, the group is still discovering new talent.

The Royal Academy of Arts coordinates the largest open submission exhibition in the world.

Basically, that means almost anyone can submit work to the exhibit and if it's good, it will be shown.

There are over 1,200 works showing over just eight days.
