- 125g/ 5 oz butter
- 125g 5 oz demerara sugar
- 5 tablespoons golden syrup
- 225g/ 9 oz oats
Method
- Melt butter,sugar and syrup in a saucepan
- Add oats and mix
- Spoon in a tin (6-8 inch)
- Bake in a medium oven for 15-20 minutes
Try this as an alternative
- Add 75g/3oz of raisins or other dried fruits or add nuts and seeds or spice it with cinnamon. You could even brush melted chocolate over the cooled flapjack.
