This can lead to problems with the way you see. You might either see two of everything or have trouble working out how far away things are.
This happens because sometimes the brain hasn’t got time to hang about waiting for the one that isn’t work quite as well and so it begins to only use information given by the stronger eye.
The medical name for the condition is amblyopia and it’s very common in children – if there were one hundred children in the playground, as many as ten might have some sort of lazy eye.
The good news is that as you’re growing, it’s possible to correct it – often simply by covering the stronger eye so the lazy one has to step up!
