So how do you protect your eyes?
1. Get enough light
Your eyes have lots of muscles that work really hard to help you see.
If you don’t have enough light then the muscles have to work even harder so you can see which can make your eyes ache and give you a headache!
2. Protect your eyes from very bright lights
Sunglasses are a great way to this!
3. Protect your eyes form germs
Germs can get into your body through your eyes!
You can do this by not touching your eyes while your hands are dirty.
4. Protect your eyes from dirt and grit
try wearing goggles if you’re doing anything where dirt and mud might fly up into your eyes.
5. Go to the opticians often
The optician will be able to tell if there are any problems with your eyes so seeing them often will help you keep your eyes nice and healthy.
