What Do Sunglasses Do?
Join Professor Hallux as we take a look at how our eyes work and why we need to take care of them! Sunglasses are an easy way to shield them from harmful Ultra Violet or UV rays which can damage your body’s cells. Sunglasses have darker lenses than normal glasses which help to reduce glare – that’s the very brightest light, the sort that can make you scrunch your eyes up! Glare can be tiring for eyes and make it harder for them to do their job – which is why it’s a good idea to get your sunspecs on when it’s sunny outside! Hallux’s i-Guide: What Do Sunglasses Do?

And why do we wear them?

The sun is really amazing at giving us light and giving us nice hot sunny days, but the sun’s rays can be harmful to our eyes.

Sunglasses are great because they protect our eyes from the sun’s harmful rays which helps us keep our eyes nice and healthy as well as making it easier to see when the sun is strong.
