When you go to the Opticians you will usually get an eye test to check how healthy your eyes are and to test whether you need glasses.
How do they test you?
The Optometrist will as you to read letters off a chart to see how well you can see them.
The trick here is that the letters get smaller and they get harder to read, the smaller the letters you can read, the better your eyes.
They might then put lenses in front of your eyes and then ask which lenses help you see the letters more clearly.
They might also shine a light in your eye so they can see them better.
