Body has swallowed Professor Hallux’s keys to the fridge. He had heard Nurse Nanobot tell him that he needed more iron in his diet – and the keys were the first thing he came across, whoops!
Now Body isn’t very well and he’s in lots of pain! The only thing is, to know how to get the keys out of Body, they need to know exactly where the keys are in Body’s body. And where better to do that than at the local hospital!
The Imaging Department is where doctors and nurses use equipment to look inside bodies – looking for diseases, broken bones and even babies in mummies’ tummies without actually going inside to take a look!
Sometimes, patients (and indeed staff) refer to the Imaging Department as the ‘X-ray Department’, but there’s much more than just X-rays here. There’s a wide range of diagnostic tests that they undertake, such as ultrasound, CT scans and Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans.
Join Professor Hallux and Nurse Nanobot as they explore the Imaging Department and the world of Radiology to find out where the keys are in Body’s body, and how to get them out!
