Have you ever come across those smart lightbulbs?
There are lights you can turn on and off using an app on your phone, even when you’re not in!
It’s all supposed to help make your life a lot easier. Imagine this…
If a smart gadget knew what time you left school, using the sat nav in the car it could work out when to switch on the heating so it’s nice and warm at home when you arrive!
Did you know that you can get smart fridges now, too?

Because it can talk to the cloud – that’s the internet – it could even go online and order more of your favourite food when you’ve used it all up!
This is all part of what people are calling the Internet of Things – connecting types of systems, machines, gadgets, apps and even people to each other!
There are lots of positives but there are also some negatives too.
