Dan and Bex are on a road trip and thinking about what makes a really great road. They’ve decided that a great road is for everyone – not just cars!
There are a huge number of different people who all need to use the road to get to where they want to go.
Here’s a challenge… Think about all the different types of people who might use a road.
Thinking about the types of people who use roads helps make sure they’re designed so that everyone can easily use them.
It helps to keep everyone safe too.

They’re looking at ways to make it easier for older people, from more seating, especially at bus stops where you might have to wait, to more public toilets and road crossings with longer times to cross.
It’s also helpful to think about what sorts of places are around the roads and where people might be going.
