Hi, it’s Zoom here from Birmingham Airport!
I love travelling and keeping a record of all the places I’ve visited in my scrapbook!
Check out this entry from Lanzarote!
Lanzarote
Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands in at Atlantic Ocean.
It’s a 4 hour flight from Birmingham Airport.
I am glad I packed my suncream for this trip! As while Lanzarote is part of Spain, it’s actually closer to Africa than Spain! As well as your suncream, make sure you bring your bucket and spade as Lanzarote is full of beautiful beaches! I also squeezed in a spot of Scuba diving! I took a special underwater camera to get some great fishy photos for this scrapbook!
These are Las Montañas del Fuego (that’s “the Fire Mountains” to you and me) were created around 250 years ago when more than one hundred volcanoes erupted in just 6 years! You can still see smouldering fires just under its ‘Martian’ landscape, and geysers that shoot water into the sky. Aren’t they a wonderful red colour? It’s because the rock is volcanic – which means the rock was made by lava from volcanoes.
If it gets too hot, head underground in one of the many open caves. I popped down the Cueva de los Verdes or Green Caves. They were formed some 3,000 years when the Corona Volcano erupted. It was down here that the locals would hide from the pirates that once tormented the Island!
I love being able to remember the trips that I have done.
Why don’t you create a scrapbook of your holidays? It could be online like mine, or in a book or on your computer!
