Hi, it’s Zoom here from Birmingham Airport!
I love travelling and keeping a record of all the places I’ve visited in my scrapbook!
Check out this entry from Paris!
Paris – the capital of France! It’s just over an hour flight from Birmingham Airport.
Bonjour mes amis! What a time I had in Paris! So many things to see – the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysee, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur.
With so many sights to see, you should hop aboard the Paris Metro – it’s quick and easy to get from place to place. I went to the Arc de Triomphe, so I got Line 2 towards Porte Dauphine.
C’est magnifique! the Arc de Triomphe was built in 1806 to commemorate the battles of Napoleon Bonaparte. 164 feet high and 148 feet wide, the arch features victorious battles and engraved names of many who died fighting for the emperor.
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, then you’ll probably love the Musée de la Magie – Magic Museum to you and me. As well as magic demonstrations and various illusion artefacts, the museum is home to over 100 moving mechanical figurines – are they mechanical or just magic?!
When you need a break from the sights, food is at the heart of French culture. Check out the French macaron – a delicate, sweet, meringue-like shell that sandwiches some sort of buttercream or jam filling. They’re SO colourful, aren’t they? YUMM!
I love being able to remember the trips that I have done.
Why don’t you create a scrapbook of your holidays? It could be online like mine, or in a book or on your computer!
