8th May 2025 marks the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, when the Second World War ended in Europe.
We’re making a brand new series called Blitz Kids which will launch in April.
The series will explore what life was like for children during the Second World War – how they coped with air raids, evacuation, sheltering in tube stations, rationing, putting sticky tape on their windows… and making raspberry noises with their gas masks!
As part of the series, we want to hear and record real stories from people who lived through WW2 themselves.
Do your grandparents, great-grandparents or other relatives have memories of growing up during the war?
We’d love to record their stories to feature in a special ‘WW2 Diary Podcast’. Their memories will help bring history to life for kids today and in the future.
If you know someone who would like to share their childhood experiences from the war, please get in touch!
Remember to always ask a parent or guardian before filling in forms online.
