The online children’s book festival for schools and families, the Reading is Magic Festival 2021 returns from 27 September – 1 October and we are so excited to be an official media partner.
The festival was born out of necessity during last year’s lockdown and took inspiration from Waterstones Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell’s saying ‘Reading is magic, and magic is for everyone’.
Over the five days, different themes from Cressida Cowell’s Waterstones Children’s Laureate Charter will be discussed including empowering children to play their part in looking after the area where they live, opening discussions about issues facing LGBTQ+ and disabled people as well as the power of friendship.
There is so much to enjoy, from Thank You poems with Joseph Coelho to a draw-along with the talented illustrator Rob Biddulph whose Draw with Rob sessions became a very popular hit during lockdown!
It is available for schools and families everywhere for FREE!
