All week we’ve been asking you to vote for your Fun Kids Favourite author!
In a special show at 5pm on World Book Day, Bex revealed who won!
Remember, the person with the most votes wins Gold. Then we crown a Silver and a Bronze winner.
Let’s check out the list…
We’re awarding Bronze to debut author Nizrana Farook!
Her first book was called The Girl Who Stole an Elephant and is about a girl called Chaya, who leads her friend and an elephant on an adventure through the jungle.
Her book was published in January 2020 and we think we’ll see more from this promising author in the future!
In second place is Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling.
It’s been a while since we’ve had any children’s books from J.K., but she’s been busy writing adult books under pseudonyms.
A pseudonym is a made-up name, a bit like Lemony Snickett, C.S. Lewis, or Dr. Seuss!
Of course, we’ve also had some screenplays from Mrs. Rowling. Namely the Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them series!
For the second year running, you voted for David Walliams as your Fun Kids Favourite Author!
He’s written load of books, like Gangsta Granny and Mr. Stink, the Boy in The Dress, and more.
Well done David! 👏👏👏
