Every day this summer, we’re sharing something fun to do!
This week’s theme is ‘Outdoors and the Environment’ and we’ll be giving you all sorts of cool things to do to pass the time.
Every Monday, we’ll let you know all the stuff you need to get so you’re ready for the week.
It will usually be bits and pieces you can find lying around the house so there’s no need to pester a grown-up and spend loads of money!
You can also improvise if you don’t have the item we’ve listed. No paintbrushes? Try an old toothbrush!
This week, we’re going to be picking berries to make natural paints (Thursday), squeezing lemons to make homemade lemonade (Friday), and going on an adventure in your local neighbourhood (Tuesday and Sunday)!
Here’s everything you’ll need this week:
- Paper
- A pen or pencil
- A paintbrush (or something to paint with – even fingers!)
- An old sieve (or muslin cloth)
- 4 lemons
- Sugar
- A large bottle of sparkling water
There will be one new thing posted at 7am every day so be sure to visit the Summer Challenge page to keep up to date!
Most of all, we want to see what you make with the challenges we set. So send us a photo or get in touch and let us know how you got on. We might even read your messages on air!
The theme is set and the tasks are ready – we’re just waiting for you.
If you need some inspiration, check out our environment page or take a listen to our food and environment podcast below!
It’s full of loads of information, including ways to get out and about, facts about the farm, and more about energy!
