It’s been a big week for our 5 Seconds of Summer boys!
Luke, Callum, Michael and Ashton have just released their self-titled debut album and have now followed up with the announcement of a brand-new single!
Taken from the album, it’s called ‘Amnesia’ and there’s already a pretty cool lyric video to go with it!

It’s called ‘Amnesia’ because the song is about wanting to forget about a girl who left them heartbroken and amnesia is a medical condition where you lose your memory.
The lyrics are pretty deep and show a different side to the band to what we’ve seen before!
We first heard 5SOS back in 2011 when they were posting cover versions of songs on YouTube. After that the boys grabbed the One Direction‘s Louis who invited them to play on the Australian leg of their Take Me Home Tour!
Since then the boys have had topped the charts with ‘She Looks So Perfect’ and the follow-up single ‘Don’t Stop’ hit number 2!
